Locating hot spots and FEA model correlation.
At Ford, TSA has become a more valuable technique since the introduction of the DeltaTherm. Ford Motor Company has used their DeltaTherm for locating hot spots and for FEA model correlation. Engineers used the system to verify stress distributions in a floorpan for the sole purpose of FEA validation. TSA demonstrated convincing results by finding concentrators in areas that were not reported by FEA analysis.
