When the coating is properly cured the dams can be removed. Cut the dam into smaller pieces before removal so that both layers of rubber can be peeled back and away from the coating. Do not try to remove complex dams in one piece. Use a spatula or scraper to lift the coating and the bottom rubber sheet off the plate.
